1. Who we are
GiftMind is a product of VNSIS Technologies Limited ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions, please contact us at privacy@giftmind.app.
2. What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly: your email address when you create an account, the notes you log about people you care about, birthday and occasion dates you enter, and your app preferences and settings. We do not collect any data from the people whose notes you log — GiftMind is single-player and private.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the GiftMind service: to store your notes and remind you before occasions. We do not sell your data. We do not use your note content for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (Firebase for database, Resend for email delivery).
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore with strict security rules that ensure only you can access your own data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not log note content in server logs and treat all note text as personally identifiable information.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access your data at any time through the app. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data through Settings → Delete Account. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to erasure.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not serve ads in GiftMind.
7. Children
GiftMind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
